I've been going back and forth, for some time, on whether I should start a blog about my family. One reason is because I am a very shy and private person. It takes a really long time for me to open up to someone. I also want to protect my family, more than anything.
So why am I starting one? Well, the first year of being a mama went by so fast that I didn't get a chance to document all the little memories. Sure, I can just write in a private journal but I don't know of any platforms that would work as well as a blog. My experience, so far, as a mom isn't at all what I expected. I had to cope with difficult situations and learned so much more about myself and my relationship with Jathan. I hope that some of the things I say in this blog will help other mothers who are dealing with similar problems. Being a mother is a tough job, especially when all you want to do is be the best mother you can be for your child. I've realized that you really need support from family, friends and other moms to help get through it all.
We have family who live in other states, so I'm hoping they can see what we've been up to even though they live far away.
I guess we'll see how this goes.
